George Washington-

George Washington who was born in Virginia on the date of February 22, 1732. His father pasted away during his eleven year old time period. After this tragedy, his half-brother Lawrence took over as a surrogate father. After Lawrence’s death in 1752, Washington then inherited Mount Vernon.

During the French and Indian War, Washington served as a frontier. Along with many people Washington went on Braddock’s expedition. Throughout the time period of his expedition Washington met Daniel Morgan, who was a civilian wagoneer. He married Martha Dandridge Custis in 1759. He met her while he was all of his attention to his estate in late 1758.

Washington entered the war in 1775. He started out spying on the British in Cleveland. He did so successfully. He later went on a journey to New York with his army. He later on found that the British were there to meet them. Washington set up Forts Washington and Fort Lee which were captured by the British and they forced Washington to move towards New Jersey November of ’76.

Lt. General Charles Cornwallis began to chase Washington through New Jersey all the way into Pennsylvania. Washington knew that his enlistment of men were going to end that winter so he went on to secure a victory. He drove his men back into New Jersey where the had great victories at Trenton and Princeton on January 6, 1777.

Here you'll learn all about me: my interests and hobbies, the people in my family, my pets, and more. I've even included a list of my favorite links to other sites.

On this home page, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site. I might put a picture of myself on this page...or just a picture that I especially like.
